DALLAS (June19, 2009) – Steve Kemble, America’s Sassiest Lifestyle Guru and one of Texas’ favorite sons, has been announced as the host and presenter at the 2009 Dallas Bridal Show at Dallas Market Hall on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, 2009.

Kemble (www.stevekemble.com) will present Hot Wedding Trends at 12:45pm each day at the event. He will follow his presentation both days as host of the Sassiest Fashion Show at 1:00pm. In addition, Kemble will be appearing at three booths during the Dallas Bridal Show – lite 103.7, where Kemble is known as the voice of the “What’s Hot” segment on the Gene & Julie Morning Show; Delicious Cakes; and LiveWire Special Events.

LiveWire Special Events, Inc. created a spectacular fashion runway for event planner Steve Kemble, 'America's Sassiest Lifestyle Guru' for the Re-Grand Opening of the Westin Galleria Dallas' newly renovated ballroom and pool deck.

The event featured an amazing fashion runway show by designer BCBG Max Azria. Kemble hired celebrity DJ Reach to spin tunes for the runway show.

The LiveWire runway made of plexi glass and lite from underneath can also be used as a stage for your next event!

Minnesota Star

LiveWire Special Events, Inc. was pleased to host the judging for the Minnesota Star Awards. The MSAs were put together to recognize the achievements in the event industry of Minnesota.

Event professionals from DFW came to LiveWire Tuesday and Wednesday to pour over the amazing entries. It was a great opportunity for DFW professionals to have a chance to see the events that Minnesota professionals contributed to or planned.

Ashley Holder, Director of Sales, and Dean Faulkner, President, just completed The Special Event Tradeshow and Conference in San Diego, California.

The Special Event allowed us to go to educational sessions with event professionals from all different backgrounds from all over the world. We learned more about the newest in trends in decor, rentals, and the event industry overall.

The tradeshow floor was busy and full of new ideas and products. We have taken note of all the new items and will be bringing them to Dallas soon for your event!

Dallas White Rock Marathon

LiveWire Special Events, Inc. was happy to be part of the Dallas White Rock Marathon again this year. The marathon changed quite a bit over the past year, the biggest change being they added a half-marathon course. This changed the start/finish area this year. However, the runners were happy to be able to get to their friends and families quickly after the race. Saturn positioned cars through out the area surrounding the American Airlines Center. NexBank was a the presenting sponsor. LiveWire Special Events, Inc provided tents for all the sponsors, the main food court tent, all the tables and chairs along the way and a few heaters to make sure people stayed toasty before the sun came up. Once the sun was up the weather was mild and we had a perfect day for a nice marathon around the city of Dallas.

The Dallas White Rock Marathon goes to benefit the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in their pursuit to make sure all children are treated for any illness no matter what the cost. Dallas Concilio

LiveWire Special Events, Inc. was proud to be part of the fundraiser for the Dallas Concilio.

The Dallas Concilio describes itself as an organization that helps other groups, companies, etc to reach out to the Hispanic population of Dallas. They work closely with schools by helping students and parents.

We were able to provide furniture to help soften the atmospher of the beautiful Frontiers of Flight museum. The planners worked with us and the av company to make a lounge vibe that encouraged mingling and a sense of community among the attendees.

Our banquettes lined one side of the room to make the space smaller and more intimate.

Our twisted metal cocktails and barstools brought the metal beams of the hanger building together with the party.

The Crescent Club August Alexander Fashion Show

The Crescent Club hosted a wonderful fashion Show on November 13th to showcase the beautiful stylings of Courtney, of August Alexander. The partnership through event was top-notch. Eisman Jewels set up cases of superb jewelry and adorned the models with a few sparkels as well. Remi Martin did a "Louis the XIV Moment" were they did an unvieling of the delicious libation. The VIPs were able to partake in a taste! Park Place Motors lined the entry way with cars.

We were invited to provide an LED stage for the runway. The runway added a great pop of flavor to an already exciting night. The guests were from age group and style background, which made it a fashion voyeur's dream! The guests dressed to the hilt but when the lights in the room dimmed and the first model made her way onto the runway, it was all eyes on the fashions being presented. A huge round of applause topped off the finale of the show.

Congrats to all the partners, thank you Rebecca, with the Crescent Club for allowing us to be part of such an amazing event!

ISES Power Lunch October 2008

LiveWire Special Events, Inc. was proud to host the ISES Power Lunch on October 22nd. The room was packed with about 30 in attendance!

The topic was definitely the draw. Marla Watson-Werst, CSEP talked to everyone about social networking and new media marketing. Marla keeps on top of the newest trends in communication and networking.

The first part of the discussion was talking about keeping websites up-to-date. Not only in materials but you also have to keep the websites up-to-date technically. Marla then moved on to the new social networking sites, such as Facebook, MySpace, and LinkedIn. We talked about how it can be used not only to expand your network but showcase your events by posting pictures. She also talked about blogging and how important and useful it can be. It gets people to see an event or particular element of an event with details. People will get used to seeing your updated blog and continue to visit and eventually you will hit on something they like. She also browsed over applications for phones such as Twitter, Loopt and other communication applications.

Everyone left the lunch very informed. Many of the attendees, including myself, took the lessons of the day and ran with it to start making changes or get involved in new methods of networking and marketing.

We would like to thank Gil's Elegant Catering for providing lunch, Marla with PeaPod Productions for sharing her knowledge and Ken with Fun Factory Events for allowing us to host the lunch.

Covenant Hospital 10th Year Anniversary Gala

The Covenant Hospital Gala turned out to be a beautiful event, but it was all thanks to the hard work of our amazing crew and the great people at College Flowers.

After working on the job for months, we were getting down to the wire during what is one of the industries busiest times and still didn't have a contract. Finally we received a final okay on quantities, cost, etc. a mere 5 days before we were to leave town. This of course meant trying to get semi trucks scheduled, last minute items shipped in, and scheduling an entire crew to be out of town on what was one of our two busiest weekends of the year so far.

The day before we left, we found out the heavy equipment we had requested may not be available to us when we needed it if at all due to some last minute changes on the sponsors' side. We stayed the course and continued with our efforts. The crew put 500 stakes into the ground in a day after driving all the way to Lubbock.

Our next challenge was to get the tent up without getting it filthy. It had been raining for a few days already so the ground was soaked. We carefully laid out tarps to start working on the lacing of the canvas. Once the tent was up we had to get the 80' x 200' ceiling liner up without getting mud on it despite 2" of standing water under the tent and persistent rain that was still falling.

The event was beautiful in the end. The tent radiated red light. The black and white decor inside was a site to see. Everyone was mesmerized by the tango dancers. At the end of the evening everyone was happy and Covenant was able to celebrate their 10th year in Lubbock serving the public.

Thank you to College Flower and Covenant Health System for entrusting us with your event. It was a joy to see this event turn into a reality.

Treasure Street

Texas Scottish Rite holds an amazing fundraiser every year. Last year they moved the event to Highland Park Village which put a whole new twist on the event. It was such a success that they did the same this year.

The committee and Cory Lukens are amazing people to work with. They are truly eager to help in anyway possible and believe in the cause. They allowed us to come back this year and do the event again this year. And what a success!

We were able to make a few changes to help the ambience of the evening maintain its magical feeling. Rusty Glenn did a wonderful job with the floral and other decor. Eclipse Entertainment had wonderful entertainment to match their Cirque-themed event. Marshall Leak was the MC/DJ for the evening and keep the party going.

Airstar provided us with 2 lights which provided lighting for the whole area. Lite Dallas provided us with LED lighting all connected so we could simultaneously dim the entire party at once when the live auction started. We were also able to feature our new line of water hyacinth furniture.
